Right in the middle of Amsterdam lies Artis, the oldest zoo in Holland.
A great number of animal species can be admired in Artis. You can see, hear and smell the animals in their own habitat. Truly an impressive experience. On set times you can watch the various animals being fed.

Walk through the special garden with its historical character surrounded by monumental buildings and different kinds of art. An experience on itself next to all animals that can be seen. Another fascinating experience is the Geologisch Museum with a history of the animal world going back as far as the dinosaurs. Next to that is the Planetarium with lots of interesting facts about our Milkyway.
